Author biography Joel contributed a total of 9 pieces to the anthology and was involved as co-author in the making of the cooperative effort titled "Test Post". When he first entered the world of the Chatsubo a few years ago, he chose "Troubadour" as his initial pseudonym - a fitting name considering the number of poems, song lyrics and songs that he has created. Joel is also an award winning composer and arranger, having won awards for his arrangements and sound design from The L.A. Weekly for the theatrical production of "Tainted Blood". He has done sound design work for ABC Online, and independent theatrical films in addition to his work in small theater. He views the world in a lyrical way. Many of the pieces presented in the anthology are creative outbursts written in response to ideas or stories presented in the Chatsubo. The Chatsubo has also opened sonic doors for Joel. As a result, he has self produced three CDs of musical soundscapes entitled "chatsubo" "Sferic Conditioning" and "Neterland" Since going to print, Joel moved from Southern California [where he had spent almost all of his adult life] to his native South Carolina. He now understands why William Gibson moved to the Left Coast of Canada and never returned. |
