Peter Oberparleiter a.k.a Some People |

Author biography Peter was born and grew up in the sunny sunny south of Germany. This, of course, is a complete and utter lie because the south of Germany isn't really sunny-sunny, more like cloudy-and-maybe-a-hint-of-sunny (although according to unofficial sources, during summer this can change to ok-now-we've-had-enough-of-this- heat-how-about-a-bit-of-a-fresh-breeze-sunny...). His hobbies, besides discussing the sunnyness-factor of his home, mostly boil down to being creative and having fun, two factors which (hopefully) reflect in his contribution to the anthology, a short story about a phone call. About the story "Night Calling" This short story is dedicated to the nice young lady that phoned me some time ago at about 3 o'clock in the morning just to hang up after a few minutes of silence. "Wait-a-minute...", the observant reader will object, "when the caller never spoke a single word, just how can you be sure it really was a young lady and not, say, some sadistic lunatic practicing his phone terror skills?". "Well, of course you're right", my answer would be, "but because of said circumstance, I will never ever find out just who really called me that night and with both the lunatic and the young lady (the nice young lady, mind you) being two of many possibilities, I simply chose the lady." |
