He's not interesting enough to be a character. Um, ok. Who are you? I'm Charleson Mambo, the avatar he wears in the Chatsubo. They really do hang out in a newsgroup pretending they are wacked out characters? It's not an act they're putting on as a marketing gimmick? Yes. alt.cyberpunk.chatsubo is real, they've been at it for years. Sad, isn't it? About the story "Myrmidon of Paradise"   Every so often they do some very weird things to the consensus reality of the Chat. So I felt I should set up an excuse for having access to something beyond mere technological tricks. Because you never know when there'll be jelly beans or color co-ordinated troops busting in. And when someone starts strumming on the probability curve having hypersonic guns and shape shifting overcoats just isn't much comfort. And once I started writing I took the opportunity to do some experimenting. Namely trying to tell one kind of story using the language and props of a different kind of tale.
